Ahsiasoft Activefile Overview

Ahsiasoft ActivefileTM is designed as a full featured file upload and download component suite. Ahsiasoft Activefile provides:

  • An interface to files and form data uploaded using RFC 1867.
  • Download (response) of files anywhere on the server (not just in the web server's virtual directories).
  • File, directory and archive (zip, tar, stuffit, etc)  manipulation.
  • Active Data Object (ADO) integration.
   Ahsiasoft Activefile Objects

The Ahsiasoft Activefile components are separate into 2 categories. Server Components and Client Components has eight objects:

Server Components

Post - a multipart/form-data post from an HTML FORM element.
FormInput - an INPUT element in an HTML FORM.
Directory - a directory or folder on the server.
File - a file on the server.
Ace - an access control entry for NT file system security
Archive - an archive containing one or more files.
ArchiveEntry - a file entry within an archive
Computer - get or set information about the computer.

 

Client Components

These objects are tightly integrated to allow you to manipulate files in a variety of ways.
